This website is dedicated to one of, if not the greatest, music entertainers to ever set foot on earth; Elvis Aaron Presley. On August 16, 1977; 27 years ago, Elvis left us in such a sudden way. This website Is in memory of this 27 year mark. Elvis first began his music in 1953 when he went into a local well known recording studio in Memphis, Tennessee; Suns Records. There he met a man by the name of Sam Phillips whom introduced Elvis to the music industry. He originally went to Sun Records to cut a record for his mother, Gladys Love Presley, for her birthday. Never meaning to do anything with his music, for Elvis wanted so much to be in movies, Sam Phillips signed him to a contract. Saying that he had great talent. That was an understatement. Elvis is well known all over the world. What a lot of people don't realize is that he was and is still so big in this world, that in 1958, 5 years after being introduced to the industry, when Elvis entered the army, he was assigned duty in Germany. When getting off the plane, there were more people there to greet him and meet this great entertainer than he could ever imagine in Memphis. A lot of people say that if you go to any country in the world and mention his name, they would know exactly who he was. Elvis began starring in movies in 1956 with his first movie being; "Love Me Tender". It was a great success. And so started his movie career. Just like he wanted. In 1968, Elvis felt that with the Beatles entering America, he would just become a blurr. So Elvis decided to do a concert in Los Angeles for him returning to music. It was called the "68' Comeback Special" in which aired on NBC. Elvis grew tired of acting so he thought that a re-introduction was in order. Elvis did his final movie, "Change Of Habit", in 1969. Towards the 1970's, Elvis became very secluded. He began pushing people away, taking people for granted, but, no one really knows the inside story but "The King" himself. Many people loved him. Men, women, celebrities, family members, friends. Including the people that worked for him at his home, Graceland. This is just a little introduction to this new page I have. There are quite a few pages on this website so I hope you will enjoy this as much as I did creating it.
